ROLE SUMMARY
Forward Deployed Engineers embed directly with customer engineering teams to design, build, and ship production-grade Cursor workflows that improve how teams write software. You will own solutions end-to-end—from discovery and design through launch, monitoring, and iteration—while turning real-world learnings into reusable patterns for the core product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead discovery with customer engineers to identify bottlenecks and define success metrics
- Design and build Cursor-powered workflows (large-scale refactors, migrations, PR review loops, incident-to-fix pipelines, etc.)
- Ship a fast first version, then harden it with proper rollouts, monitoring, and iteration
- Own production quality including tracing, evals, metrics, model debugging, latency/cost tradeoffs
- Work directly with Staff+/Platform/Eng leaders while going deep in code
- Convert successful deployments into reusable patterns and feed improvements back into Cursor
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production (not just prototypes)
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and turn fuzzy problems into shipped systems
- Strong in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript with ability to ramp on new stacks
- Comfortable owning end-to-end solutions (frontend, backend, infra, prompt iteration)
- Experience with production reliability (metrics, alerts, safe rollouts, incident response)
- Strong communication skills for customer-facing discovery and stakeholder alignment
ELIGIBILITY
- Proven experience owning production AI or complex software systems
- Ability to lead technical discovery conversations and be accountable for outcomes
- Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
- Based in or willing to work from Bengaluru, New Delhi, or Mumbai
